Sometimes one question needs one test: is my thyroid working, is my vitamin D low, how is my blood sugar. We take nineteen single tests in the clinic, from a liver function test at £35 and a full blood count at £40 to a thyroid screen at £100, each priced on its own.
Most are blood tests with the result in a day; a few are urine or stool samples that take longer. Every report is emailed to you with the values set out, and one of our GPs calls you the same day a result is flagged.

Yes. The prices add up, so where you want three or more of the common ones, the general health screen at £80, which covers the blood count, kidneys, liver, lipids and HbA1c together, is the cheaper way.
Urine microscopy and culture is a urine sample; the H. pylori antigen, Q-FIT and faecal calprotectin tests are stool samples. Each takes two to six days.
A stool test for traces of blood that cannot be seen, used when bowel symptoms need looking into. It is £50 and the result takes five to six days.
