Days for the basic result
A sexual health screen rules out the infections that can be carried without symptoms. The basic screen, £140, tests for HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhoea and syphilis; the comprehensive screen, £325, adds hepatitis B and C, herpes and three further infections. A PCR swab for chlamydia and gonorrhoea alone is £80.
Each is a blood sample and a urine sample, or a swab, taken in the clinic. Results are emailed to you, in one to two days for the basic screen, and a positive result brings a call from one of our GPs, who can prescribe or refer from the same clinic.
