You leave with a personal plan and are followed up. Any treatment the doctor recommends is discussed with you openly, with its benefits, risks and costs, and a plan managed by the GP needs a monthly appointment.

You may benefit if your BMI is 30 or more, or 27 or more with a weight-related health concern, if diet alone has not worked, or if you have a condition such as prediabetes, PCOS or high blood pressure. The GP assesses whether it suits you at the consultation.
That depends on your plan. A weight-loss plan managed by the GP needs an appointment every month.
